Q&A: MY MOTHER SAYS THAT IT COULD HURT MY DAUGHTER TO PLAY WITH A VIBRATOR?

Question by Cynthia Voight:
My mom states that it could injured my daughter to play with a vibrator?
I occasionally enable my 16-month-old daughter to play with my vibrator. I very first gave it to her a few weeks ago and she adores it more than any of her toys. My mother, even so, thinks that letting her hold an pbject like that can scar her emotionally or something, or make her obsessed with issues like that. I think it really is just a toy, but my mom appears actually critical. Any thoughts?

I believe you could find other toys that are more suitable for her.

Why not get her a toy thats, hmm i don’t know, for babies?
are u sick ????????????
Dude, would it kill to let her play with BABY toys and keep your personal toys away! Yes she’s only a baby but I think she deserves a toy that does not go inside you and pleasures you.
Okay geez. Everyone who’s answering this question is being a little bit harsh. She’s just asking a question so there’s no need to get so personally offended. I don’t know if I would give a vibrator to my kid ( I tend to be very personal about stuff like that), but I think that your mother is overreacting. At this age, your daughter doesn’t know anything about what the vibrator is used for. Once she does start becoming more sexually aware in a couple years her playing with the vibrator might be a little more disturbing. I’d suggest very gradually transitioning her away from the vibrator to some other kind of kid’s toy.
If there was a larger font I would write the following in 6 inch high letters:
( ( ( ( ( ( WTF!!! ) ) ) ) ) )
Couldn’t you buy her a giggling Sesame Street Elmo or something?
I don’t think it would scar her emotionally, she doesn’t even know what it is, so i don’t think she will even remember playing with it.
As long as you stop letting her play with it after a year or two, so she doesn’t get attached to it.
I’m sure letting her play with that is fine, she’ll just think its a toy.
ALSO: warning – the small parts may cause choking.

Just a toy. As long as it’s clean it won’t hurt her at all.
