Terminator Assassinations

The collection of Terminator movies is spread over a theatrically released series of science fiction films about conflict between humans and cyborgs. The human race is presented by John Conner and the cyborgs are controlled and made by Skynet. Skynet is featured as a super self-aware computer that started Armageddon, which may lead to the end of humanity.


The first three in the Terminator series features super acting from Arnold Schwarzenegger and the fourth instalment released in 2009 is starring Christian Bale as the adult John Conner.
The Terminator is the first of the series and launches in 1984 directed by James Cameron. In this movie the human resembling cyborg, which is indestructible is sent from 2019 to assassinate a waitress in 1984. Her unborn son is the one who will lead the war and present humanity against the machines. A soldier is sent to protect the waitress at all costs. The terminator won Saturn Awards for Best Writing and Best Make-up. James Cameron also won the Avoriaz Film Festival in 1985.

Terminator 2: Judgement Day

The second installment was released in 1991, also directed by James Cameron featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton. In this extension from the 1st movie, an identical cyborg to the one who tried and failed to kill Sarah Conner is sent to protect her from a much more advanced cyborg made out of metal liquid. The movie won 4 Oscars for Best Sound, Best Effects, Sound Effects Editing, Best Effects, Visual Effects and Best Make Up. MTV Movie Awards won includes Best Female Performance, Best Male Performance and Best Action Sequence.

Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines

First released in July 2003 directed by James Cameron. Rise of the machines delivers a cybernetic warrior from the post-apocalyptic future that travelled back in time. His goal is to protect a 19 year old drifter and his wife to be, from a robotic assassin who is most advanced and to ensure that both of them survive from a nuclear attack. James Cameron is one of the writers, but the director now is Jonathan Mostow. The movie was nominated for a large variety of Awards.

Terminator Salvation

This movie stars Christian Bale and Sam Worthington and was released in 2009. A new mysterious weapon features in the 2018 in the war against the machines. Half human and half machine the weapon comes to John Connor on the evening of a Skynet resistance attack. The question is, on whose site could he be and should he be trusted. Terminator Salvation won the BMI Film Award for Film Music and the World Stunt Award and was nominated for more Awards.

Terminator 5

The 5th episode of the Terminator movies is planned to bring a reboot on the time travelling cyborg tale. It has not been confirmed that Arnold Schwarzenegger will “Be Back” in the 5th release, scheduled for July 2015. The storyline includes Kyle Reese who finds himself a new time line and teams up with John Conner’s mother Sarah. An aging terminator also teams up with them to try and stop Judgement Day, which is the one thing the future fears. The actors to cast alongside Arnold is Emilia Clarke as Sarah Conner, Matt Smith, Jason Clarke and Michael Gladis. The movie is directed by Alan Taylor.
